One of the world’s greatest dance companies, American Ballet Theatre (Kevin McKenzie, Artistic Director), unites with the seven-time GRAMMY® Award-winning musicians of the St. Louis Symphony to present a once-in-a-lifetime performance of Igor Stravinsky’s masterwork: Firebird. This laugh-out-loud musical tells the timeless story of a bright-eyed college grad named Princeton, who arrives in the city with big dreams and a tiny bank account. The only apartment he can afford is all the way out on AVENUE Q. Princeton meets an assortment of characters who are destined to be his new friends! Together, they struggle to find jobs, dates, and their ever elusive purpose in life.

On the evening of April 4, 1968, Martin Luther King Jr. was assassinated outside room 306 of the Lorraine Motel in Memphis. What happened inside room 306 the night before the killing is a mystery; playwright Katori Hall fantasizes what may have transpired in the overnight hours between the legendary civil rights leader and a hotel maid. L.A. Theatre Works mounts a new production of the work to mark the 50th anniversary of Martin Luther King Jr.’s assassination.
